Rubber Tires: Saving Rears for Years
In ye olden days, farmers spent their days bouncing around on tractors fitted with steel wheels. These mean machines were hard on the ears—and rears. Thanks to the efforts of Harvey and Leonard Firestone in 1932, a rubber tractor tire design was born. By 1938, rubber tires were standard equipment for most American farmers.
