The Elston Manufacturing Gopher Getter GA-800 boasts a sturdier heavy-duty frame, featuring a hardened plastic bait box, a 22 spring-loaded coulter, and an adjustable tunnel depth. This innovative device works by constructing an artificial tunnel, into which the poison is dispensed. Gophers then encounter the bait within the tunnel, succumbing underground, beyond the reach of other animals. The tunnel depth can be easily tailored to match the gophers’ digging depth in your area, ensuring optimal efficacy.
Elston Gopher Getter bait applicators offer a safe, economical, and swift solution for controlling gopher populations. These devices expedite the treatment process compared to manual or alternative methods. Elston products dispense bait in precise quantities, ensuring effective elimination without unnecessary waste.
The GA-800 efficiently applies approximately two pounds per acre of bait, with burrows spaced 20 feet apart across an average field. Optimal application occurs when gophers are active, particularly during periods of limited food availability, such as spring and fall. Summer applications may yield reduced control results.
With a 22 coulter and weighing 705 lbs, the GA-800 is compatible with Category II, III, and IIIN Standard and Quick Hitch setups, ensuring versatility across various equipment configurations.
